We travel a lot, but we haven’t taken a “lounge on the beach with a good book and drink in hand” kind of trip in a longggg time! Earlier this week while we were in Austin, we met up with some friends and started talking about this. We all crave adventure, to see new cities, and experience new things, but there’s something to be said about indulging in the type of trip where you do almost nothing and it is basically everything. Haha! Our honeymoon was a similar type of trip. We actually weren’t even planning on a big getaway, but family insisted that we would want/”need” a honeymoon after the crazy wedding planning. It feels funny to do a “beach favorites” post when there isn’t a beach within 200 miles of us, but hey, we have pools. Ha! This weekend we have some family coming to town and because it’s a bit too hot to sightsee, we’ll probably be hanging around the pool as much as we can. What a week it’s been over here! We spent the first half of the week in L.A. for some workshops and work meetings, one day in Phoenix, and this weekend we’ll be in Austin, TX for a fun Canon event at Precision Camera. We love these small trips after doing so many big ones lately. It’s nice to get thrown into a new city, explore a bit, meet up with some friends, and then get back home. It’s also great to be able to travel with just a carry-on too! Tonight we’ll be in Austin meeting up with our good pals, Olivia and Blake. We’re so excited! Our Favorite Bath Products

Probably the biggest thing we were looking forward to with our master bath remodel, was the soaking tub! Now that the kitchen and bathrooms are done, we are taking full advantage of it a few nights a week. It’s the best way to unwind, and as much as we have tried to incorporate a work out routine as a form of stress relief and well just strengthening our overall mental and physical health, nothing has proved to be more calming or indulgent as a simple bath. We’ll prop up the laptop with a favorite Netflix or Hulu show, or bring in a book, and just lay there for a bit. Some calming drops of lavender or rose scented bath salts are also a plus. Here are a few of our favorite bath products as of late, that will help you get the most out of your “me” time.
