Happy Friday! We are back to basics over here after a week of family in town. We had an amazing time eating our way through Phoenix and Sedona this past week and we’re thinking we might stick to salad this weekend. Ha! This weekend we’ll be taking it easy. There’s been quite a bit on our plate lately and we’re looking forward to some down time at home with Henry and a good audiobook. At the moment, we don’t have any big 4th of July plans, but we’ll probably decide last minute that we want to run around with some sparklers somewhere, so be on the lookout for us being goofballs on Tuesday. 😉

We are super excited to announce that we’ll be co-hosting an event with West Elm at their new location here in Phoenix. If you’ve been following along with us for a while now, you know we have been huge fans of the brand for quite some time. We haven’t shared too much of our current place yet, but our last living room redesign and home office space were bursting at the seams with West Elm. The company has modern yet mid-century inspired pieces that are clean and minimal, which is what we’re all about. Tonight (6/28) we’ll be gathering with so many from our local community for a pre-opening event, with Arizona based artists and makers. Also, this is Rob’s parents last night in town, so it will be a special treat to have them there with us.Read More

We’re so excited it’s the weekend! It’s been a productive week for us. We’ve been trying to go hard on the decorating over here as we are hosting some family this weekend and thought they should be welcomed by a home that isn’t bare and sad. There’s nothing like family coming to town to get you a little motivated to get things done around the house. We’re happy we got that kick in the butt! On Monday we’ll be heading up to Sedona to escape these Phoenix temps a bit and try to get some relaxing time by the pool and sightsee. It’s been a while since we’ve been up north, so we are really excited about it. Next week (6/28), we will be co-hosting a very special store opening in Phoenix of one of our favorite brands ever…West Elm. We’ve gotten used to taking the drive up to North Scottsdale to shop there, but we are thrilled to be getting a store waaaaay closer to us here in Phoenix. We will be sharing the details next week, so keep your eyes peeled for that. We hope to see some of you there! As always, we are sharing our favorite links from around the web this week.
