Back in the spring of 2011, we were spending a few days in south Florida visiting some family. The two of us spent an afternoon downtown having lunch and then spontaneously decided to catch a movie. We had no idea what was playing, nor did we really care too much. It was one of those days where going to the movies was all we wanted to do. We have those days quite a bit actually, but there is just something about watching a story unfold, eating popcorn and snacks, tuning out the real world, and getting sucked in to a good film. We looked at the list of movies playing, and the title Midnight in Paris caught our eye. We had recalled seeing the trailer a bit before our trip and have loved Woody Allen for years, so it felt like the perfect afternoon date.

Bonjour! We arrived in Paris two days ago and couldn’t be more excited to be here. Our flight arrived early Thursday morning and we completely embraced the light rain that welcomed us in. It was cloudy and cozy and pretty perfect. On our way to our Airbnb we watched through our cab’s window, as we peeked in on the city’s morning commute…watching children walk to school clutching to their parents’ side and business men and women rush to the subway with a coffee in hand and headphones in. Even in our sleep deprived state, we immediately felt lucky to be here and experience their culture for a few days. READ MORE

The new LIKEtoKNOW.it app is here! If you’re unfamiliar with LIKEtoKNOW.it, it’s an app that allows you to get ready-to-shop links straight to your inbox via your favorite fashion and home decor photos on Instagram. We have been users of their older platform and you most likely have seen their links in our IG captions. They recently made some changes and launched a brand new app, making everything super simple. So now, when you screenshot an image from Instagram, Snapchat, IG stories, or even Pinterest, you’ll get a push notification with the sources for all outfit and product details from each photo. Pretty cool, right?
Read on for more details about the app and a few photos featuring my new favorite trench. 🙂

Leather leggings, where have you been all my life? During our time in SoHo we stopped into the Aritzia store on Broadway and I had some fun with their staff, styling a few cold weather looks for NYC. These faux leather leggings, thick knit sweater, and bomber jacket were the perfect pieces to layer with over a plain tee while running around the city that day. Lunch and a sweet treat at Maman hit the spot before shopping around a bit more and meeting with friends for coffee. For the most part it was a pretty laid back day and the chill in the air reminded us why we loved New York this time of year so much. We ended up heading back to Long Island during rush hour for a family dinner, and in true New York fashion dashed from our cab in the middle of bumper to bumper traffic to catch our train. Running through Penn Station definitely brought back some memories for us. Haha! READ MORE

With a new year, comes a new perspective. Something we both decided we really wanted to be conscious of this year is sharing more of those “in-between” moments here on the blog. We chatted a bit about it as far as our home renovation and projects go, but the same goes for fashion and our everyday outfits. Here’s a look at an outfit I wore yesterday for meetings in the city and then lunch and shopping with friends. It was sooo much colder than I remembered NY winters to be, but a few layers kept me warm while running in and out of cabs. READ MORE

Greetings from New York! We’re back on the east coast, spending time with family and friends in some chilly weather. We took the red eye, which is never a fun flight and arrived early yesterday morning, so we’ve just been taking it easy, adjusting to the time difference, and getting some bonding time in with our nephews. We’re heading into the city for some fun today, but here’s a look at some photos we shot before leaving Phoenix. I haven’t worn a heavy print like this in a while (as I’ve been pretty partial to neutrals lately), but I couldn’t pass up this pretty feminine blouse. Blush pink is one of my favorites, and the soft florals with all black felt like the perfect mix for these early Spring-like days in Phoenix. READ MORE

It felt like we were getting a dose of east coast weather for a few days there and this coat, has become my go to for the chillier evenings here in Phoenix. It’s such a classic shape, which I feel like Sézane is quickly becoming known for. I paired it with one of their printed blouses, a tight ballerina-esque bun, and some comfy heels. READ MORE

We’re excited to partner with Hearts On Fire this season and share a holiday party look for him and her. Although we won’t be throwing our own holiday party this year (it just felt a little too crazy with the move), we’re looking forward to attending some get togethers with friends, doing our best Jingle Bell Rock karaoke, and sneaking a kiss under the mistletoe. 😉

A few months back I came across the French fashion brand, Sézane. I guess I was in a bit of style rut, and their clean, classic pieces really spoke to me. I say this often, but I feel like we’re always going through our closets and donating items we no longer use, sharing with family and friends, and minimizing what we actually hold on to. When moving into this house, we knew we weren’t going to have a lot of closet space. Most (if not all) homes from the 30’s didn’t have big closets, it was just a different way of living, so were really selective about what items we packed up to bring to the new place.
Sézane’s pieces are some of my favorite because of their versatility. They feel timeless, and it’s really refreshing to see classic, modest pieces that are cut so well and so flattering.
Here are a few of my currents favorites below. I’ve been wearing the Valentina strapped pumps every chance I get lately. 🙂
