Family Holiday Traditions: Christmas Tree Farm

Dec 19, 2022 | By New Darlings

Hello again ‘ol blog. It’s been a bit. I’ve missed updating this space. We’ve been so busy with the home build and all the festive holiday traditions. Right after Christmas it’s going to be go time with packing and finishing up all the little details on the house, so we’ve really been focusing on making this holiday season a magical one, packing our advent calendar full of baking and holiday activities.

Earlier this month we spent the morning at our local nursery. Come with us on a holiday family adventure in our matching Blundstone boots – our favorite year round footwear for the desert.

Fresh garland, rows and rows of trees, and wreaths…these outings always get us in the spirit of the holidays. We take a trip each season. Somehow it always falls right after an Arizona winter rainstorm, we don’t get often but is so appreciated. It feels chilly and a little overcast and it just adds to the overall cozy time of year. Our Blundstones are perfect for jumping in puddles (just ask our toddler) and making our way through the tree lot. We always end the day cozied up with hot cocoa and a holiday movie. It’s one of our favorite holiday traditions: simple but full of so much joy that just makes you appreciate the little moments in the everyday. Also, what’s cuter than seeing a tiny pair of boots on your babe while being surrounded by Christmas trees?
