We can’t believe the Create & Cultivate conference in Seattle has already come and gone. It was a whirlwind of excitement as we had just wrapped up our trip to London right before heading to Seattle for the conference and festivities. It was two days filled with old friends, new friends, and tons of inspiration. As the conference was a gathering of some of the business world’s most powerful women, I was honored to be included in the mix.
The Create & Cultivate team really know how to throw a party. Every inch of the Microsoft campus was decked out in the most beautiful way. The site included some pretty awesome backdrops, tons of flowers, snacks, drinks, shopping, and some wonderful ladies.

The gangs all here! We finally met some of our favorite people who we’ve followed for years. That’s what this conference is all about. We laughed, chatted about our businesses and the journey we all took to get to where we are today. These folks are incredible and we’re so thankful our paths crossed. Follow along from left to right: Jeff Mindell, Kelly Mindell, us! ;), Whitney Leigh Morris, and Emily Katz. It’s crazy how the internet has lead us to so many people we would have otherwise never met. Forming real friendships with this crew is something we’re truly thankful for. Love these guys!
Our panel, Detail Oriented, focused on design and how we use home decor and interiors as a part of our business. As you guys know, we love sharing bits of our home on the blog, so it was fun to talk about the backend and business side of it. Not only was it great to share what I’ve learned over the years, but I gained a ton of knowledge from my fellow panelists. In the end, we’re all still learning…blogging is still considered a new industry, and having the support this conference offered was invaluable. The panel included Kate Arends (Wit and Delight), Anne Sage (Light Lab), Whitney Leigh Morris (The Tiny Canal Cottage), Anne Alo (Creative House Int’l), Amanda Manna (Lowes Innovation Labs), and was moderated by Jessica Anderson (Elle Decor).
After the panel, we headed over to the Shopstyle Collective booth for a fun Facebook live interview. We had a great time sharing how we run our business as a married couple, our fashion muses, and favorite cities to travel to around the world. We hope you guys were able to catch it!
