Well it’s been a few months since we’ve officially moved into our new home in Tucson, AZ and it’s been a while since I’ve updated this space here. We have been settling in and taking the days slow. Styling shelves, going on pre-dinner walks, catching the sunsets, afternoon coffee outings, and enjoying our new everyday together.

It feels pretty wild to wake up here each morning, and now just after a few months it really does feel like our home. When we first moved in, I had a mix of “where am I?”, also mixed with complete comfort and familiarity after the three-ish years of planning and seeing this home come to life. Building a home (or renovating) isn’t for the faint of heart, but all the delays and twists and turns have been so worth it. I actually think all the delays and back and forth trips from Phoenix to Tucson throughout the construction process made the transition smoother for all of us. 
When we first purchased the property back in 2020, I was beyond excited for this new journey — building our own custom home, a place to truly put down roots as a family, and settle after years of traveling. Then of course the nerves set in a bit. Now about three years later, I would definitely do it all over again and truly feel like we made the right choice. This is home.
When we first moved in, we still had a bit of work to do: plumbing needed some tweaking in the guest bath, the shelving still needed to be sanded and sealed, landscape and outdoor areas continue to be a work in progress, but I’ve been really enjoying taking it all slow and sharing the process with you on TikTok and IG. I love a good project so the whole home build journey has been really fulfilling and surreal on so many levels.

Love following your page and your home is a dream! I’ve been looking around to see if you have mentioned the exterior paint color of your home. Finding a perfect warm white shade is so hard! I’m in the desert as well and would love to see if this color would work on our exterior. Do you recall the color name?
