A few months ago we started really pulling the backyard together. Things heat up so fast in Arizona, so we want to spend as much time outdoors as we can before the true summer months hit, especially with Oliver. We were so excited to reseed the lawn, plant some new succulents and tend to our bougainvillea and cactus that have grown so beautifully over the last few years. Little did we know it at the time, we would be quarantining at home for close to two months and the yard has been part of our everyday routine. It is not lost on me that this backyard has been such a gift for our family. We spend hours out back, playing with Oliver on the grass, eating lunch at the dining table, and listening to music together while we push our little guy on the swing. It’s been a place of joy.
Last year when we renovated our home, we made some changes to the patio as well. We extended the covered patio alongside the extension of the master bedroom and it’s been so nice to have that extra shaded space. We put the dining table and chairs right off the french doors leading out from the dining room. We also cozied up the little lounge area behind the guesthouse, with lots of pillows and my favorite: a potting bench. We wanted to keep it simple with earth tones, furniture thats easy to clean and pieces that will withstand the heat in Arizona. I’ll just dive in and share some photos below. Love this space! Where are the hanging terra-cotta pots from? Liking their shape.
They’re from a local nursery called Berridge Nursery. They might be able to ship?

Where can I purchase the terra cotta hanging cones?
In love with your lounge area and everything on it! I’m planning a redo on my wood cabin studio and its exterior and I’m getting such wonderful ideas, especially the vibe!
