Well its been a doozy of a week over here with family in town, our AC going out, and Oliver having some extreme gassiness. We couldn’t be happier for the weekend over here. On Wednesday when our AC went out, we got a little taste of what it would be like to travel with Oliver and pack up for a third person. Oliver was a champ at the hotel for a few days and gave us a few good stretches of sleep, which definitely helped balance things out so we couldn’t have asked for more. These Arizona temps are starting to weigh on us though, and after not traveling for five months (that’s a lot for us), we’re started to get antsy.
We grabbed coffee this morning at a local shop and while I fed Oliver, we searched Airbnb for some destinations. Thinking about traveling with our little guy is so fun and I’m yearning for some time outdoors…just somewhere we could pack up a lunch and hang outside on the grass with our little babe. Any favorite US destinations to travel with your little ones? Let us know!

We’ll probably take it easy the rest of the weekend at home. We have more family coming to town next week to meet little Ollie boy, so we’ll be tidying up over here. Here’s a few links from around the web we’ve enjoyed.
Hope everyone has a good weekend!
1 – Did you catch Oliver’s birth story?
2 – This has been my go-to lipstick these days in the shade “Brunch”. I love how its non-toxic so I can still smother Oliver with all the kisses.
3 – Lately we’ve been throwing it back with a lot of Paul McCartney playing, specifically the album Ram, but we’ve also had this new Haim song on repeat, too. We’ve been jamming out to each equally each morning.
4 – The temperatures have been extreme not only here in AZ, but all across the US. June was the hottest month ever recorded in history around the globe and it’s getting worse. If you want to stand up for Mother Earth, join us in the demand for a climate debate.
5 – Our friends over at the Joshua Tree House now have their new Tucson location available to rent on Airbnb and it is beyond beautiful! Definitely check it out if you haven’t already.
6 – Want to trade in your living room? I was super curious about this furniture subscription company that lets you rent furniture for months at a time. Maybe this will help design junkies like us, who constantly want to change things around. Ha! What do you guys think?
7 – These reusable bags have been put to good use in our kitchen lately.
8 – Never did I think we’d be sharing about bathroom care, but we recently bought a Tushy and we have to share! It’s a modern bidet attachment for your toilet and let me tell you, it’s pretty amazing. Ha! It’s also a pretty cool way to minimize your footprint on the environment. (Bye bye toilet paper!)
9 – We’ve been pinning a lot these days. Here’s our current inspiration board.
10 – I’ve been living in this soft jumpsuit lately…its loose and has pockets!

Come visit Oregon and the PNW while the weather is still perfect! Up until mid October. ❤️
Asheville, NC! Smaller town in the mountains with lots of independent and locally sourced restaurants and cafes, and tons of personality
September in Duluth Minnesota is fantastic! The colors are just starting and there’s plenty to do in a low-stress environment ☺️
I appreciate the climate change debate link! I was visiting London the week of their heat wave which topped out at 103. It was absolutely insane!
My boyfriend is obsessed with Tushy hahah. No shame!
Take the baby to Sedona! It’s not too far away and still a good getaway! Or Bisbee. We love Bisbee, it’s such a cool little town. (We live here in Gilbert.)
Regarding the bidet, we have one too and it’s such a game changer. When I watched your Instagram story, I had a feeling that’s what it was going to be. We had a Tushy, but I like the Lux Bidet Neo 185 a lot better. It actually costs less than the Tushy and it has more features. This is the one: https://amzn.to/31rnu5t
Love your blog, girl!
Pinetop-Lakeside in the White Mountains is an easy drive from Phoenix – it’s scenic, quaint, the weather is great, it’s a different mountain experience than Flagstaff. Another relatively easy drive from Phoenix is San Diego; cities/beaches in North County (Encinitas, Solana Beach, Carlsbad) are a bit less crazy and more family-friendly than the beaches further south. The only way to survive Phoenix summers is to get out of here as often as possible! There are a lot of great escapes if you’re willing to drive for a few hours!
