Kitchen Favorites
The kitchen is our most used room in the house. Meals together as family, washing dishes, brewing coffee and more…and Oliver joins in on it all with us. We’re not the only ones who have been spending more time at home these days, so I’m sure many can relate to the extra dishes in the sink. I always like to say that things can be purposeful and beautiful. Today, we’re teaming up with Seventh Generation to share our 5 go-to items to make washing the dishes a little more enjoyable. 😉

My 5 Favorite Kitchen Items for

Washing Dishes

Wooden Brushes + Sponges

We recently found these great reusable sponges, that have been getting a lot of action in our kitchen, but when a pot or pan needs a good scrub we opt for these wooden brushes with natural bristles. They are so durable and are a great eco friendly option.

Ceramic Sponge Holder

Ceramic Sponge Holders + Vessels

One of my favorite little additions to the kitchen sink area has been this ceramic dish brush holder from independent maker, Juno Pottery. I fell in love with her artwork over the last few years and have a few pieces of hers sprinkled around our home. It only felt natural, it have this speckled brush holder on our kitchen counter. The earthy feel, yet practical shape is perfect for keeping hold of our brushes.

Our Favorite dish Drying Rack

I would love for the kitchen counters to be completely clutter free, but not having a dish rack is just not an option around here, so a pretty yet durable one was at the top of my list. We’ve had this Tosca Dish Drying Rack for a few years now and it has held up so well and easy to clean.

Linen Dishtowels

We go through quite a few dishtowels over here, as we’ve pulled back on disposable paper towel use. Linen dish rags are our favorite because they are so durable and dry so quickly. We love Magic Linen’s dish towels (you might recognize the name from when we shared a look into our bedroom). They come in a set of two in simple patterns and natural tones that we love. They just get softer with time.
