I forgot about these photos we shot at the Arizona State Fair a few weeks back. It was our first time there after living in AZ for four years, so it was long overdue. It was also one of the first weeks my sister was with us after making the move from Florida. It was a fun night together and a great welcome to the state for her. We ate cotton candy bigger than our heads, fought our fear of heights at the top of the Ferris wheel together and navigated our way through the busy crowds to play carnival games.
The first year Rob and I were dating, we celebrated my sister’s eighth birthday at Adventure Land in Long Island. I have to dig up the pictures on our old hard drive…Rob had long curly hair, I was wearing a Beatles tee, and Danielle was smiling ear to ear with face paint on. It’s amazing to think of all the years that have passed by since then, and everything that has happened from then to now. Life feels to be going by so quickly these days. To think we’ll be celebrating another Thanksgiving and Christmas already kind of freaks me out…
On a much lighter note, we just heard that they transformed the fair grounds into a “Lights of the World” holiday display for the upcoming season, so we’re thinking we might need to make another trip back to check it out once it gets closer to Christmas.
