I think I might have found my go-to pair of jeans for the summer. Yes, its already almost August so maybe I’m a bit late, and its pretty hot to even be thinking of denim, but I love a good pair of jeans no matter the season. One of the biggest things I realized when moving from the east to west (it seems I’m noticing more and more differences lately, especially in fashion) is the dark to light tones in dressing. East coast is all about dark moody tones, and lots of black (which I do love), but there’s something so calming and youthful about the lighter tones that seem to fill everyone’s wardrobes in Arizona and California. I can’t help but think of the calming vibes of the desert, and fashion in the 70s with relaxed makeup looks and undone hair. There’s something that really draws me in about the whole aesthetic, yet goes against everything I knew about getting dressed and “putting yourself together” for the day. I’m trying to find a nice balance lately. I’ve been loving lighter denim these days, along with a looser fit, which has been really nice for the warmer weather. I put together a few favorites from around the web (with all budgets in mind), that can go great with a basic tank or tee. Check them out below:

Hi! Thanks for linking your white blanket… I had been eyeing it up in a previous post and I can’t believe it’s from Ikea! Now I know my weekend plans. 🙂 Love from STL!
Adore this image. As a book lover, it speaks to me & how I want my summer days to be…
Thanks for sharing these looser fits! I feel like all the stores I go to only sell skinny jeans -_-” albeit I don’t go out shopping very much -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s
