Temperatures in Phoenix are (slowly) dropping and there seems to be pumpkins adorning the front of every house we pass. Lately we’re finding ourselves curling up on the couch and zoning out to some of our favorite autumn records. It’s funny how music can pair perfectly with a season. There are certain albums we always find ourselves reaching for when fall rolls around. Some are perfect lyrically for these months, referencing the leaves changing and the chill in the air, while others are albums we just found ourselves really getting in to this time of the year. To us there are just some albums that feel like autumn. Here are some of our favorites, along with a few top audio picks to spruce up your collection.
Our essential autumn records:
Van Morrison – Astral Weeks
Fleet Foxes – Helplessness Blues
Death Cab For Cutie – The Photo Album
Simon & Garfunkel – Sounds of Silence
