Bedroom Holiday Decor
So, what do you think? Are you team Christmas tree in the bedroom or no? I think this year we could all use some extra holiday cheer, so we just went for it and decorated our bedroom. We’ve been spending so much time at home and figured every corner should bring us joy. We teamed up with eBay to find some amazing Christmas décor, and well, I think I might be a holiday bedroom decorator for life (if that’s a thing). 😉
A Christmas Tree in Your Bedroom
We used to have a small tree in our room before Oliver was born, but now it has become his Christmas tree because it was the perfect mini size. We went all out and got a 9-ft Christmas tree for our bedroom. It was kind of comical when it arrived. I knew the vaulted ceilings in our bedroom were tall, but I might have gotten a little overzealous- either way – I kind of love how over the top it is. Nothing feels more festive than getting into bed each night with this twinkling tree next to me. We have a faux tree in our living room that we bought years ago, and well, this tree puts our little living room one to shame. I’m just kidding – it’s still cute. It actually looks real (to us anyway), and I love how full it is. We kept things simple with beige and gold classic ball ornaments and a sheepskin tree skirt for some texture.
Holiday Decor: Hanging Garland (Everywhere)
We’re big fans of garland around here. Every doorway is adorned with a bit of greenery and I feel like its a great way to add some Christmas cheer without being too cheesy. We mixed in some real garland from our local nursery because we had a lot left over from the living room, but eBay has some amazing garland on their site too.
Add a Bit of Holiday Cheer to Your Night tables and Dresser
Mixing faux and real foliage is my favorite. We had a few branches from left over garland and some very believable faux eucalyptus leaves that we gathered together for a vase on the dresser. This is my first time adding a wreath to our room and I love it over the mirror. Sharing some favorite wreaths and greenery below, so you can get the look too…
Also! I hung all the garland and the wreath with 3M sticky hooks. We use them for everything around here and they’re so easy to remove after the holidays.
Over on the nighttables we added some faux holly berries, pine cones and bottlebrush trees.
Bedding: Mix Textures
If you watched our IGTV bedroom tour you probably noticed we didn’t mix up the bedding, however we added some great texture with this sheepskin throw for some extra warmth. We also added an extra blanket to a basket in the corner, so we can really cozy up for our holiday movie marathons.
I feel like no holiday season is complete without hot cocoa, so we set up a cute tray with all our favorites: festive mugs, marshamallows, and cookies. Check out the cute round up of holiday mugs + trays below:
