Our 2020 gift guide for toddlers and little ones is here. We took a lot of time putting this one together and dreaming up what Oliver might enjoy/has been into lately. Oliver loves to do what we do, so any practical life activity is high on his life: helping us sweep, do the laundry, take care of baby. He has also started to show more of an interest in crafts and coloring, when he’s not on the move. Take a look below at some of our toddler gift ideas, along with a few of Oliver’s current favorites, like his Slumberkins plushie that he naps and goes to sleep with every night.
1 – Ruth Bader Ginsburg Trailblazer Tee
100% cotton tee created by Piccolina: a new mission-driven lifestyle brand dedicated to empowering children and breaking gender stereotypes. Check out all of the inspiring tees, including this earth heroes one.
2 – Guidecraft Rainbow Sound Blocks
These blocks are so fun! The way the light passes through the colored water will catch any child’s attention.
3 – Briar Holiday Party Pom Bonnet
A beautiful winter bonnet with a fun pom pom!
4 – Wooden Art Easel | Crate and Barrel
Art time anyone? The possibilities are endless with this easel: chalk, markers, paint…anything to help spark a kids creativity and it looks pretty too.
5 – Slumberkins Honey Bear Snuggler Bundle
Everynight Ollie goes to bed with his Slumberkins narwhal. It is his favorite lovey and makes sure we give him a kiss too before Oliver goes to bed. Each Slumberkins comes with a special board book to help children learn about their emotions.
6 – PlanToys Wooden Wagon in Black
What kid doesn’t loves carrying their stuffed animals around the house and giving them a ride? This mini wagon is perfect for that.
7 – Holdie House
We’re big fans of OlliElla over here. Their simple yet whimsical designs always get us. Ollie loves his Dinkim doll he received for his birthday, so we’ve been thinking about a dollhouse. I love how simple this one is to allow for complete open ended play. Ollie also went through a big farm phase, so this farmhouse was on our list for a while too.
8 – Wild Pines Train Set
Can’t go wrong with a classic train set. This is one of those gifts that will grow with your child. The Wild Pines Train Set is one of the prettiest ones we found while browsing. This Busy City Rail Train Set is adorable too.
9 – Maggie’s Treasure
Love the idea behind this book of finding treasure wherever you go. This little girl Maggie finds a way to share her treasure with the whole neighborhood. The illustrations are beautiful and a book Oliver gravitates to.
10 – Plan Toys Wooden Pull Along Snail
Our sweet friends gifted this little snail to Ollie in the beginning of the pandemic and he constantly walks around the house with it by his side. It’s an adorable sight. This rainbow snail is a sweet colorful option as well.
11 – Register with Play Money
Oliver has been into buttons and opening and closing drawers lately so Rob and I felt like this is a must have on his holiday list. Be careful with the play coins, as they’re tiny, so definitely a supervised toy, but a fun and engaging one.
12 – Canyon Coat Mini
I couldn’t have a kids gift guide without including the exclusive mini canyon coat we created with goumi kids. There’s a matching mama coat too if you want to coordinate your little one.
13 – Kitchen Playset
We originally wanted to do a DIY hack for a functional Montessori toddler kitchen, but once we got the toddler tower, Ollie has been at the counter with us constantly vs prepping at the kitchen. A mini kitchen for him to have some imaginative play with his stuffed animals seemed like a good balance. I love the beautiful colors and wood craftsmanship on this one.
