Self-Care Gift Ideas

For the first holiday gift guide of the season it felt appropriate to share some of my favorite things for self-care. It’s been one hell of a year and we still have about two months to go. I wanted to put together some of my favorite self-care items that always give me a bit of a pick-me-up whenever I’m feeling down. It’s not always easy, but taking a few minutes to make ourselves a priority can be a huge game changer. Whether you’re shopping for a friend or just want to treat yourself, I hope some of these help give you a little zen. Check out some of my favorite self-care gift ideas below.

1 – Bath Salt
I often opt for epson salt baths over bubbles most days, and this bath soak is mixed with Himalayan salts as well, making it the perfect mixture for ultimate relaxation. It’s under $30 too! (If you’re looking for bubbles though, these Susanne Kaufman bath soaps are my favorite in lavender and witch hazel.)

2 – Parachute Home Bathrobe
A spa night in deserves a good bathrobe. I love Parachute’s towels and bedding, and their robes are just as amazing. Of course I love this golden color

3 – StackedSkincare Ice Roller
I just started using an ice roller this year in the morning. It’s so nice to use as a little morning wake up and helps with depuffing and minimizes redness. Also, love using this if I have a little breakout. It definitely helps calms my skin.

4 – Everyday Oil
I’ve spoken about Everyday Oil often on IG. We use it so much for our skin and hair. It’s perfect for dry skin as we welcome colder days. Packed with essential oils this has become our go-to body oil. A little goes a long way!

5 – Nécessaire Body Wash
If you’re looking to feel a little fancy during your shower, I definitely recommend this Necessaire Body Wash in Eucalyptus. Love this clean beauty product for a little pick-me-up. It’s cruelty free and super gentle.

6 – Stagg Tea Kettle
What’s a little self-care without some tea? This one by Stagg has lasted us so long. (Great for coffee pour overs too.) I’ve really enjoyed Hello Goldie CBD tea for a little calm. It’s organic, vegan and non-GMO.

7 – Tata Harper Clarifying Face Mask
I discovered Tata Harper’s brand when I was pregnant with Oliver. I was looking for a non-toxic skincare regimen that packed a punch and her products definitely live up to the hype. I like to use this face mask once or twice a week as “maintenance” to keep any breakouts at bay.

8 – Jenni Kayne Slippers
Jenni Kayne pieces are definitely more of an investment, but the quality is most certainly there. A year or two ago Rob bought me matching slippers from Jenni Kayne with Ollie (yes-they have baby slippers), and I’ve worn them every day since. They’ve held up so well and are so soft. Throw on some cashmere socks and face mask, turn on Netflix, and you have the perfect cozy night in. (You can use my code CHRISTINA20 for 20% off.)

9 – Vitruvi Stone Diffuser
It’s no secret we’re obsessed with Vitruvi. When we need to chill out, diffusing some essential oils is an instant mood changer. Just breathe! Eucalyptus and lavender are a few of our favorites, but we recently tried their woodsy oil kit, and it’s perfect for the chillier days we’ve been having. You can use code NEWDARLINGS for 20% off

10 + 11 – Girlfriend Sweatpants + Sweatshirt
Girlfriend Collective is usually my go-to for leggings and activewear, but now they have me hooked on their sweatsuits. I love lounging around the house in comfy clothes, but my old mismatched sweats needed some updating. I sized down in the sweats from my usual leggings size and felt as though the tops run true to size.

12 – Everlane Cropped Alpaca Cardigan
Love the puffy sleeves on this cardigan. I feel like you could never go wrong with a sweater and Everlane always has such good ones. Looks great tucked into high waisted jeans or over a dress around the house for lounging.

13 – Mojave Ghost Body Cream
Mojave Ghost has been my go-to scent for the last few years now. It has a woodsy yet feminine scent that just feels like the finishing touch to getting ready. Rob gifted me the body cream for my birthday and it has such a rich texture without feeling heavy or greasy. Absolutely love it.
