Hi guys! Happy Sunday! We’re back with another room reveal, and although we say it with each house project, we’re really excited to share how this room was transformed with you all! We’ve been working with our amazing contractors from Loyal Construction Co., since early 2018 on the whole renovation project, so it’s been really satisfying seeing this place come to life. You might remember our old bedroom reveal, when we first moved into this house. It was cute and charming, and felt cozy, but it was on the smaller side and due to that always became messy. Plus, I think we strayed from our original style a bit when we first moved into this home. It was fun to experiment, but getting back to a softer palette and some of our favorite mid century style furniture feels more like us.
Lulu & Georgia Rattan Chair | “Red Lions” by Janet Hill Art Print via Artfully Walls | West Elm Blanket
One of my favorite little corners is the nook next to my side of the bed, with this dainty rattan chair. I love the bit of texture it adds to the room while breaking up the some of the darker woods. We have been so inspired by some french interior designers who mix lush velvets and brass accents with natural textures like this. I think it helps keep things light and not stuffy.
Q Design Centre Curtains | West Elm Curtain Rod & Hooks | West Elm Mid-Century Planter | Lulu & Georgia Brass Mirror
For the window treatments we really wanted to dress up the space, so we added some thick linen curtains from Q Design Centre. They’re a Canadian company that does the most amazing window treatments. We have some of their roman shades throughout our home as well. We found them when we first moved into the house and are pretty happy we did because they offer custom sized curtains and roman shades. Every window in our house is a different size. Their team is so amazing at helping you determine the right size and length curtain for your space as well. All you have to do is measure your window or french doors and they will do all the hard work for you.
We used West Elm’s brass curtain rods and rings to hang them with and love how they even dressed up the french doors.
Anthropologie Paris Match Striker and Candle | Studio McGee Vase (similar) | West Elm Faux Flowers | Schoolhouse Sconce
Continuing with our brass theme inspired by our time in Paris, we knew we had to use some globe lighting in the bedroom as well. Do you guys remember this hotel from our anniversary trip to Paris? Pink and green and brass all over! We fell in love with their decor! They had the most amazing display of globe lighting throughout the hotel, so we knew we had to recreate a bit of that at home. We sourced the most perfectly elegant yet simple lighting from Schoolhouse Electric. They’re always are our first source to check for lighting because they have so many different styles. The Nova L Sconces with the opal shades were our pick for over our nightstands and I love how they turned out.
West Elm Dresser and Night Stand | CB2 Basket Planter | Schoolhouse Lighting
You can get a good glance of the ceilings in this shot. I always loved the look of tongue and groove, especially in a more neutral room with a lot of white. I think it adds a bit of interest to the room and makes it feel not as pristine. That monster rubber tree is from our friend’s local shop, Camelback Flowershop. It’s a miracle we’ve kept this thing alive so far. 😉

A closer look at some of the artwork above the bed. We were lucky enough to scoop up some of these pieces from Sézane before they disappeared from their site. They always do capsule collections, and we fell in love with this particular one from their home line. I know some people may think the whole pink theme was my idea, but I’m telling you the truth when I say both Rob and I love it. He admires a lot of Sézane’s aesthetic as well, and the owner/creator Morgane Sezalory has such an incredible eye. I hope they bring back more home decor pieces on their site because everything they carry is always so beautifully done. Our bedding is from there as well. It is sadly sold out, but here is a similar blush bedding set.
West Elm Bedframe | Mongolian Faux Fur Round Pillow and Textured Lumbar Pillow via Target | Similar Round Velvet Pillow
West Elm Desk | Pottery Barn Mirror | Target Rattan Plant Stand
For us, the bedroom is definitely a place where we go to rest our heads each night. We don’t usually hang out in there during the day, but with making the room larger, I really wanted to have a space for a makeup vanity. I scoped out this smaller desk from West Elm and we really built the room around the furniture we envisioned for the space. We didn’t need a huge room. Ultimately, we just wanted some extra space to move around the bed comfortably, and my one request was this vanity space.
Lulu & Georgia Velvet Chair | Small Round Anthropologie Mirror
We added this beautiful velvet chair from Lulu & Georgia and it’s the most comfortable place to get ready each morning, with the light coming in. It’s plush and a bit oversized which I love. The soft teal color was the perfect match to some of the accent pillows on our bed too. I fell in love with it instantly. One of our biggest issues with the room was how dark it always was, but we finally addressed that with this round of renovations by vaulting the ceilings and adding some sky lights. A few of you guys were against this on IG stories, but we found some awesome ones from Velux, with automatic shades and they have been a total game changer!
Anthropologie Light | The Grand Budapest Hotel Book | The Rose Book
Target Rattan Mirror and Faux Plant | All Modern Brass Mirrored Tray
Organized chaos! Little clusters of all my favorite things around the room. Still loving this brass tray (above) as a catch all for all my perfumes and little trinkets.
That little vase on my nightstand is one of my favorite pieces. It’s called the “Henry Vase” and I couldn’t resist because of the name. 😉 Love how the plant makes it look like his hair. Such a fun piece!
Lulu & Georgia Textured Rug
Well there ya have it! It feels so good to see the master bedroom complete. When everything has a place, we tend to keep things more neat and organized so it’s been nice to walk into this room to wind down in the evenings surrounded by some of our favorite things. We really wanted a bright and white space with a pop of color, and I think the pink and teal did the trick!

This bedroom is absolutely gorgeous!! Makes me want to paint ours ASAP…
So pretty! May I ask what color you go with for white walls? So many choices! Are most of your home’s walls white?
I’d also like to know what color white you use throughout your house.
Love! What do you do with the previous furniture, bedding, etc that you used to have?
Where is the duvet from?? So pretty!
Thanks! Its from Sezane, but sadly sold out. We linked to a similar one on Urban Outfitters though. 🙂
Thanks so much for sharing your creativity. Really great & awesome. Thanks a lot for sharing.
Hi, thank you for sharing your bedroom, it is such a wonderful inspiration. I am wondering if you painting the pottery barn mirror gold or if they used to sell it in gold? If you painted it, would you be able to share how?
It originally came in gold and white, but I got it on sale so maybe they were phasing it out…ah sorry about that!
What paint color
Do you use?
Where did you get the tassel throw blanket on your bed? So cute!
Its from Lulu and Georgia as well. 🙂
Thanks! Love everything about your style 💕
I love your bedroom! What color white did you use?
