We are so excited to team up today with Society6 on today’s interior post all about styling a credenza. Society6 recently launched a new furniture collection featuring artists from all across the country, taking their artwork and turning it into stools, side tables, credenzas, and more. Everything is customizable, with different print and hardware choices (we went with a marble design, check it out here), making designing your space super easy. The credenza immediately caught our eye from the collection, with a mid-century design, brass legs and birch wood top. We couldn’t wait to dress it up and share our tips for how to style a credenza with you guys. So let’s get started.

BUILD VERTICALLY
Think: Artwork, tapestry, mirror, etc.
There’s so many ways to add heigh to a credenza. Try a tall table lamp, large piece of artwork or mounted wall mirror. You can also play with placement: i.e. a lamp to the left and large print hanging on the wall to the right, or a centered mirror. You can also play with different size frames (like we did above) to create asymmetrical balance.
ADD AN ANCHOR
Think: Books + trays
Stack your favorite books, add a tray or decorative box to place your other objects on. This helps create different heights so that everything isn’t at the same level and creates interest for the eye. I love stacking a few books on one side with an accessory or plant nestled on top.

A PERSONAL TOUCH
Think: photos + fun accent pieces
It’s not all a formula, add in some person touches like a photo, memento from a vacation or old postcard that you hold dear. This will really make the space feel like your own.

AND ALWAYS…
Think: Greenery
Grab you favorite house plant or some flowers from the grocery store for the finishing touch. I feel like a hint of greenery always ties a space together. Pothos are some of our favorite tabletop plants for their cascading nature. They look great stacked on top of books, with a little cactus nearby. 🙂
Hope that helps some of you guys who are styling a credenza at home! What should we share next?
