Last week we had the pleasure of hosting some close friends at our home here in Phoenix for a evening of giving back. It’s been over a year since moving into our little Tudor and a dinner party was long overdue, so when the team at FEED asked us to host a FEED Supper to raise meals for American families in need, we jumped at the opportunity. While hosting a Supper can be as simple as inviting some pals over for pizza night, we wanted to plan something a more special for Valentine’s Day. We tend to go a little overboard when hosting…we get super excited and have all these ideas that come to mind, full-on Clark Griswold style, and then tend to get a bit overwhelmed so having our friends Leah and Matt from Tremaine Ranch by our sides to help create a beautiful Valentine’s themed backyard dinner was super comforting and exciting. They’re a powerhouse husband and wife event planning team, and two of our very close friends. We’ve been wanting to plan an event together for a while now and I’m glad we were able to make it happen. The weather in Phoenix has been amazinggggg lately, so it felt like the perfect time to bring everyone together, which is why FEED launched their FEED Supper campaign: to bring people together to share a meal, while also sharing meals with those in need. It’s really troubling to hear that over 42 million Americans are food insecure and don’t know where their next meal is coming from, with 16 million of them being children. Whether through buying one of their beautiful bags, or hosting a FEED Supper, FEED makes it easy to do something tangible to fight hunger.
We found everything we needed to host our gathering for good on the FEED Supper site, where we set our personal fundraising goal, invited friends to donate directly to our Supper, and ordered this cute toolkit that helped connect our guests to the cause. I’m so thankful for our creative and kind friends who helped us put the night together, share in good food and lots of laughter. Our friend Alex from Alex & Co. made beautiful menus and invites that tied in perfectly with the natural color palette of the Supper toolkit. We added hints of blush tones for that Valentine’s Day feel through the dinnerware and fresh florals from our friends over at Camelback Flowershop, and we filled our bellies with some amazing local Italian food from North Italia. After everyone went for the night and everything was put away, Rob and I just sat on the couch together and were like…”We have really good friends. How did we get this lucky?” Arizona has definitely treated us well.

Like I mentioned, FEED also has a wide selection of products, from handbags to jewelry to home goods. With each sale, FEED provides direct meal donations to children in need across the globe. The new Mini Eleanor bag paired with this fun tassel was a great addition to my outfit for the night—and provided 75 meals! We also made sure everyone left with a Market Tote as a thank you.
