Pumpkin Picking in Arizona
I can’t believe I’m sharing another pumpkin picking post already. The time is flying by with our little Ollie boy, and looking at our pumpkin picking photos from the last two years is making me emotional. The first year we took Ollie pumpkin picking he fell asleep. The second year he wanted to pick up everyyyy pumpkin in sight. Now, at a little over 2 years old, he was on the move and wanted to explore everything!
We spent the morning at Mother Nature’s Farm out in Gilbert. Oliver wanted to see all the animals, climb on the hay stacks, pretend the pumpkins were “roll away pumpkins” just like from one of our favorite autumn stories: The Roll-Away Pumpkin.
The highlight of the outing was definitely the very real, very large tractor he got to sit on while squealing “ride em cowboy!”. It was one of those days that as a parent, you are equally as exhausted as you are filled with love and just overall excitement and joy for your child. This has really been such fun age so far. I love how he’s our little buddy and interested in everything. Needless to say, we all crashed come nap time. Ha!
Can’t wait to carve these pumpkins together this weekend! Ollie is pumped! I know I already mentioned The Roll-Away Pumpkin, but How Many Seeds in a Pumpkin? and Pick a Pumpkin have been getting Ollie so excited to decorate our pumpkins. Check them out if you’re looking for some seasonal reads with your little ones. I’ll report back on how the carving goes. 😉 For now, here are a few more photos from the pumpkin patch, along with some outfit details if you want some inspiration. 🙂
