Summer Entertaining at Home

After 2020, we’re all itching for an escape. Whether you’re starting to travel again safely, or entertaining family and friends at home, one thing is for sure: we’re all looking forward to being with those we love again. Summer is always such a fun time to gather, and I cant think of summertime without thinking back to family BBQs and friends sleeping over. Now as adults with home of our own, and a little one added to the mix, we are excited for many of the same things: family visiting, friends staying over late playing games and enjoying a meal together. I’m started to get excited about entertaining again and I’ve been really impressed with Walmart’s summer home collection. I rounded up some favorites with everything from sunny tableware to pretty accents and kitchen gadgets for sweet treats and all your get togethers. Plus, I’m pretty sure they’re all kid approved. 😉 Are you ready to welcome friends and family over again? Are you heading out on the road this summer? 1 – Ice Cream / Frozen Yogurt Maker – I have another super cute ice cream maker on this list, but what I love about this Cuisinart one is that it is compact, and also makes sorbet. 

2 – Ice cream Dessert Bowls and Spoons – As you’ll see the whole theme of this post is summer nostalgia, and nothing is more nostalgic to me than these ice cream cone bowls and scoops. My grandmother had super similar ones and after every meal my sisters and I would pick our favorite color bowl for dessert. I can’t wait to get a set of these for Ollie. 

3 – Sodastream Machine – I never thought these were necessary but after buying way too many bottles of peligrino, I’m glad we went for it. I love a little bubbly water with fresh citrus to cool off. 

4 – Patio Wicker Hanging Egg Chair – These are always so perfect for relaxing in with a good book or enjoying ice cream. 

5 – Sunny Yellow Stoneware Bowls – Yellow has always been my favorite color. It’s so cheery and perfect for summer. Enjoy your ice cream or pasta salad in this cute set.

7 – Homemade Popsicle Maker – We’ve been making a lot of popsicles over here with fresh juice and berries – its the perfect treat for how hot its been and a great activity to get little ones involved in too. 

8 – Electric Wood Bucket Icecream Maker – How cute are all of these nostalgic kitchen gadgets? I’m all for a group/family activity, clearly. Making ice cream together is on our summer bucket list. 

9 – Rattan Tray – I love mixing textures on a table and this rattan tray is great for serving all your patio meals. 

10 – Gold Matte Flatware – I’m not a fan of plastic serve ware, even for BBQs, so this gold flatware is right up my alley. 

11 – Ceramic Hanging Planter – You could never have enough plants. 

12 – Presto PopLite Popcorn Maker – We don’t have a microwave at home, and well, a popcorn machine is just more fun and nostalgic. Perfect for movie nights.
