Converting our Garage to a Guest House
If you follow along with us on Instagram, you know we’ve been making some updates to our guest house. We converted our garage to a small guesthouse back in 2018, so it felt like it was time for a little refresh. If you’re new around here, we lived in the space for almost a year while our main house was being renovated and we learned a thing or two about tiny living.
Hosting Family and Friends in our Guest House
With things very slowly getting back to normal in the U.S., we have some family and friends coming to (safely) visit soon. It feels good to prep for guests and have something look forward to. We’ve also been missing having a creative project to work on. Redoing spaces and designing little nooks and rooms are always one of our favorite ways to direct that creative energy, so it felt like a good time to update the guest house.
Painting Kitchen Cabinets
We plan to change the decor a bit and warm up the space. We started by painting the cabinets in the kitchenette. We went with “Warm Hearth” by @dunnedwards. We had some left over from Ollie’s playhouse makeover and love it. It adds a beautiful earthy feel to the space, that better reflects our main house. I can’t wait to share more of the styled shelves and goodies we have in store from so many amazing independent makers! 🙌🏼 Stay tuned!
