Creating an Earthy Holiday Table Setup with eBay
The holidays definitely look different this year. With many of us staying home and connecting with loved ones on FaceTime or Zoom instead of in person, it feels even more important to make the holidays at home with our immediate family that much more special. It will be just the three of us for Thanksgiving this year (and most likely Christmas), so I’m paying extra attention to all the “little things”. Making a special desert, still planning our holiday outfits, and setting a pretty table. I found so many beautiful pieces for our holiday table on eBay, that I know I’ll use way after the holidays are over, so scroll through to see some of my favorites.
Table Setting: Mix Textures and Shades for a Cohesive and Earthy Look
When setting the table for the holidays, I like there to be a few elements of the season, but still keep things pretty neutral so that I don’t need to buy everything new. I love to use my natural everyday dishes with some special table linens to boost the look. First pick your color scheme. For this Thanksgiving I decided to go with a golden yellow hue and natural burlap elements for a mix of textures. I layered a linen tablecloth with a thicker table runner, and round woven placemats that can act as chargers.

Centerpiece: Use a mix of dried flowers and autumnal tones
I mixed pampas grass and smaller bunnytail dried flowers. I kept it loose and layered the branches on top for an easy going look, then added a few pine cones for that fall feeling. eBay has so many dried flowers in various sizes. The pampas grass stems that I used are really tall, so I can use them for a large floor vase after. Win, win! No table would be complete without some candles. I mixed and matched some brass and ceramic candlestick holders I already had around the house (check out some similar ones here), with some white and yellow beeswax candlesticks. I love the pop of color with the yellow.
Setting the Holiday Table: Dishes and Flatware
Use all of your favorite serving ware dishes and drink pitchers. Take out your favorite flatware and make it a special day, because it is! I found this beautiful clay pitcher (I love this one too) on eBay as well. It fits perfectly with the earthy neutrals in our home, and will great on display when not in use too.

Copper Pots and Pans
Through my eBay search I found some beautiful copper pots and pans. This set is new, but they have an amazing open box selection, where you can score some awesome deals on larger items and small appliances. My beloved SMEG toaster is available on there too.
Anyway, back to the pots and pans: they’re super pretty, easy to clean, non-stick, non-toxic, and look great out on the stove too. I also got this bakeware set that I made some cornbread in, we’re big fans over here. I haven’t formerly bought bakeware ever, just some random pans here and there so I was very excited. I had fun testing out a new cornbread recipe the other day: one of my favorites for Thanksgiving! Do you have any holiday meal traditions this time of year?
