Well, we’re back in our house! We weren’t sure when this day would come but the renovation is over and we’re slowing moving things back in, little by little. The bedroom has a long way to go, but first order of a business was a new mattress. We’ve been sleeping on the pull out sofa in the guesthouse for the last seven months, and although in the beginning it was fine, our bodies were definitely craving a good night’s rest on a real mattress in a real bed.
Living in Arizona, we’re pretty lucky to have some amazing local businesses here, big and small, doing some pretty great things. One of those companies doing it right is Tuft & Needle. Transparency is a big thing in the retail world now, and I love how they pay attention to what the buyer wants, is American-made, and have a strong social mission. We usually don’t dive in much to the background of businesses on here, but it’s important to us to share companies we work with and why. Since starting T&N back in 2012, the company has donated over $8m in mattresses back into the community. They have such a strong focus on helping schools, providing meals, and giving people a clean and comfortable place to sleep. It always feels good supporting brands that are putting out good into the world.
We’re still amazed this mattress came rolled up in a box and with minimal packaging too.
So…now that we’ve been sleeping on this fluffy cloud of a mattress, I’ve been having a little trouble being productive in the morning…well at least on the weekends. Man, is it comfy! I just want to crawl back in bed with my tea every morning. We ordered their signature T&N mattress with their mattress topper and what a dream! I don’t know how we ever slept on anything else in past, but their signature Adaptive Foam has been mighty fine. Rob has been falling asleep early during our shows each night, so I’d say it was upgrade in the sleep department. 😉 Somehow my laughing doesn’t wake him up. ha!
Fresh sheets always feel so amazing. We’ve been loving their Percale sheet set and duvet cover.
We’re looking forward to more cozy moments in this room and seeing the whole space come together. For now, we couldn’t be happier for a comfortable mattress and a place to rest our heads at night. Waking up in this room the last few days has been a dream! We can’t wait to share more of the room (and whole house) with you guys, but for now this little peek was fun. 😉

Love! Love! Love your blog!
Entirely unrelated to mattresses but I love your eyeglasses! Would you mind sharing where they are from? Have been on the hunt for similar frames for a while now!
Looks so cozy! Where’s the platform bed from?
