Even in Phoenix, we have a season called winter. Ha! It isn’t the winter you have come to know traditionally, but we wear our sweaters and coats when the temps fall below 60 degrees. It’s all we can do, and we love dressing for the cold weather, so we’ve gotten used to that state of mind. Sorry New Yorkers, we know 60 degrees sounds like a lovely spring day, but it’s all we have!
Moving on, we’ve mentioned our home doesn’t have a ton of closet space. It’s an older home from 1930, and therefore, we use two coat closets as our actual closets and have to get a bit creative with storage. We are currently working on bedroom design that fixes these issues, but that’s for another day and another post. Having staples for each season is how we’re able to dress well and quickly no matter the time of year. As you can see, we love our neutrals. Building a wardrobe in a similar color palette allows us to swap out items, mix up our looks, and still get a completely different outcome.

We certainly aren’t busting out heavy coats, thermal layers and thick socks anytime soon, but have a light layer adds a ton to any look and makes a simple sweater appear more interesting than it is. This trench from ASOS has been my go-to for our Phoenix chilly days. I love the color and it pairs well with this green sweater I picked up from J.Crew.

You always dress up so nice; I love your style! That trench coat is beautiful and is so versatile.
Adorable as always!
