Chicken and doughnuts; not a combo we would initially crave together, but the other day we tried out this new place in Phoenix and we are now hooked! The owners of the Welcome Diner, opened up Welcome Chicken + Donuts not too long ago, and since we are such big fans of the Welcome Diner (If you are in Phoenix, you need to go! Amazing burgers!) we figured we needed to see what this place as all about. The place has an old school vibe, with some fun oldies playing over the speakers, which is perfect for munching on some afternoon snacks. We got the Korean Chili chicken with an array of doughnuts to try out. The Korean Chili flavor isn’t something we would normally choose, but we were told it was their most popular and it was definitely the right choice! Crunchy with a little kick and then add in the doughnuts! We were in heaven. Who doesn’t love an afternoon date with their love…and doughnuts?!
