Autumn Traditions: Our Annual Trip to the Pumpkin Farm

We’ve been pumpkin picking every October going all the way back to our dating days in 2004. It’s something we love to do, and definitely a tradition we have continued since having Oliver. Last year, we took Oliver to this very same farm and he actually fell asleep about 20 minutes into it, (see that post here) so it was really fun this year to actually get to see his excitement for all the pumpkins, tractors and farm animals. Honestly, it was pretty difficult to capture all of those moments due to his extremely quick stride these days Ha!

We were able to take a ton photos of Ollie running around all the pumpkins before it got a little too crowded for our comfort levels, and then we ventured off to a different part of the farm which was completely empty (thank you f47 acres!). It’s sad to have to avoid people and make sure Oliver doesn’t get too close to anyone, but we keep our family safe at all costs, so it’s important for us to stay distanced and be aware of everyone around us. To the other parents out there, navigating this very difficult and confusing time, we’re with you and sending you all the love and positive vibes.Pumpkin Patch Family Outfit Ideas

Oliver was so excited to see the little pumpkin he chose in our living room near the fire place. He been very attached to it and we’ve been reading so many Autumn books with pumpkins (stay tuned for that post), so he’s been getting the full experience lately. It’s so special to see the season through his eyes. Now if only Phoenix could take it easy on the 100 degree days, we’d be even more thrilled with this time of year.
