Today on instagram we shared another IGTV Home Tour Video, giving you a little peek into our master bedroom. I wanted to share some tips for styling a night table, plus share what I keep on mine. 🙂 We have this modern night table set from West Elm (but I think it lends itself to so many styles) and we changed the knobs out to these brass drawer pulls. You can watch the whole video tour below. Also, sharing some details and links to everything below the video, at the bottom of the post. 🙂

(My outfit in the video is from OZMA – shirt here + pants here. You can use code NEWDARLINGS 15 for 15% off. The kimono is reversible and from Ace & Jig.)

1 – Books/Tray – Anchor some smaller items with a book or tray. I use a gift box earrings came in, along with a copy of Vieille France that was a gift from the Sezane team while we were in Paris. Then I group smaller objects on top.

2 – Plants – I love how a plant can add height to a night table (especially if you have a wall sconce vs lamp, like me). Add a fun planter to tie in the color scheme of your bedroom. The ceramic planter is by Ursula Basinger. You might remember her name from our Makers Series highlight

A few other planters I love:

3 – Moisturize – I don’t know about you, but by the end of the day my skin is so dry. Keep an all over body oil and/or face moisturizer by your bedside, along with a lip treatment. I love Everyday Oil for my legs and hands (all natural made with several essential oils) and Laneige lip mask

4 – Candles – Adding a candle for a calming scent is always a must on my night table. It doesn’t hurt if its beautiful looking too. The candle shown is the Cedar scent from Jenni Kayne. (You can use code CHRISTINA20 for 20% off if you want.)

5 – Water – I drink so much water at night. Probably because I’m awful at staying hydrated during the day. I recently added this pretty ceramic water jug to my collection by Easy to Breathe, along with a small speckled dish as a coaster. The ceramic jug looks like its still available in white at H.Smith, but I also linked a similar terracotta one here

6 – Books + Glasses – I love having a collection of books on my night table to wind down with each night. Currently I’m reading the Montessori Toddler and There I Am

7 – Jewelry Catchall – This palm ceramic is one of my favorites from IIIVVVYYY. I like having a little catchall to hold the jewelry I take off at night nearby. I linked to some other similar ones in the carousel below.

8 – Stay Cozy – I keep an extra blanket and some cute house shoes/slippers on the bottom of my night table. I always like to search etsy for unique mud cloth blankets. They have so many independent makers to discover.
