We made it to the first weekend of the year! That’s no easy accomplishment. Ha! We definitely stumbled our way through the week as we dusted off our brains and tried using them after some much needed time off from most-things-work.  The holiday season is always a favorite time of year, but man, it crushed us this year.  We were both pretty out of it from just after Christmas until right about…now.  I’m sure we’re not alone here, and January is always a bit of a struggle for us, but we’re doing our best to stay positive, focused and ambitious.  This week was mostly about getting things “back to normal”.  For us, normal is shooting and writing up some new content for the blog, cleaning up and packing away all traces of the holidays from our home, and just overall getting and feeling organized.  We’re excited this weekend to catch a hockey game as our New York Rangers will be in town.  Any hockey fans out there?  We’re definitely in the minority here in Phoenix, but we always catch our New York teams as they pass through.  Any big plans this weekend? What’s everybody up to?  If you have some spare time, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite links from around the web below.  Enjoy!

1 – Going along with our Pantry organization from earlier this week we are always on the hunt for quick and easy healthy recipes. We love this list of ideas.

2 – Check out Rosie, the cutest pastel Vintage Trailer remodel we’ve ever seen!

3 – Whether you’re going to Coachella or not its always fun to see who made the lineup this year.

4 – Don’t get us wrong we are all for the convenience of online shopping but we love a good concept store and these all look beautiful.

5 – When we lived in New York, there were so many places we didn’t visit, because we always thought “they’ll be there tomorrow”. 😉 Have you been to your states “underrated” place? It was fun to see what was on the list for our home states, Arizona & NY.

6 – We love how unapologetically original Iris Apfel is, this documentary reminds us to always strive to be ourselves, to have fun with our style and life in general. She’s such an inspiration.

7 – Given that it is 78 and sunny in Phoenix today, we will have to soak in the last bit of winter virtually. Look how magical Niagara Falls looks right now.

8 – Palm Springs has always been one our favorite places to sit back and relax, and it’s no secret why, the architecture tells it all. February 15th through the 25th some of these houses are open to tour… we’re thinking we might need to take a road trip!

9 – How sweet was Will Smiths words to his wife for their 20th wedding Anniversary?

10 – The Museum of Ice Cream has taken Instagram by storm, and has just opened its 4th debut in Miami. The whole museum looks so fun and cheeky!

  1. My husband and I are thinking of planning a vacation for the holidays this year. It’s always such a stressful time, and to be honest, it sounds nice to just escape once 🙂 I feel like all of January was a recovery. I definitely enjoyed a few lazy weekends at home after the chaos of the holidays!

I’ve been dying to go to the Museum of Ice Cream, it looks so fun!
