Fall Traditions: Our Annual Pumpkin Picking

A few days before we left for SF and NY, we headed to the pumpkin patch. Pumpkin picking and going to the pumpkin patch is a festive fall tradition that we’ve kept alive all throughout our relationship, and always a fun little date and a way to get into the fall spirit. We’ve found ourselves going to Schnepf Farms the last few years. If you’re in AZ, definitely check it out. The grounds are pretty big and they have a ton of things to do. It definitely doesn’t feel like you’re in the desert. Plaid and brown and maroon tones were in order for our outing. Love this plaid shirt for him and maroon booties for her.

My sister made her way back to AZ with us for the big move and we’ve been taking some time the last few days to just catch up and get her and her pup Lucy acclimated to Phoenix. It’s been fun watching the two pups together and dinners have definitely been full of lots of laughs lately. We’re looking forward to making another trip to the pumpkin patch all together and getting some fall decorations for outside the house…hay stacks, scarecrows and mums for the front steps.

When we were in NY visiting with family we visited one of our favorite decor stores and nurseries, Hicks…any east coasters out there? They have everything and it really got us excited to come back to AZ and decorate. Even though its already the 20th, fall harvest decor will take us into Thanksgiving so we’re just gonna go with it. Haha 😉 Are you guys all decorated for fall? I realized when we were back on the east coast, just how many more people go all out with decorations this time of year vs Arizona. I’m talking full on interactive Frankenstein lab displays on their front lawn, faux grave yards, ghosts, cob webs, the works! It definitely got us more in the spirit!
