STYLE

Put a bow on it!

Jun 06, 2017 | By New Darlings

It’s been a while since we’ve shared an outfit post. With all the crazy time changes and climate changes, I haven’t really thought about style for Arizona this season too much. I’m not fully ready to dive into shorts and tank tops, despite what the triple digits over here are telling me to do, so I think think this comfy blush and beige look will have to suffice. 😉 We snapped some photos on our way out of our friend’s flower shop the other day, because really, the set up at Camelback Flowershop is always too beautiful not to photograph. (We brought home some great plants for the living room! Can’t wait to share the space with you guys!)

I found these paperbag-esque pants at Free People on a whim recently, and have been wearing them every chance I get. Anything that feels like pjs and looks presentable to wear out of the house gets an A+ in my book. Plus, I’m loving the bold bow/drawstring. 🙂

  1. I love these pants! On you they look structured and flattering, but on the model on the Free People site, they look really shapeless and unflattering. Did you size down to get a more structured fit?

    1. I bought my usual size in their items (an XS), but I was pretty surprised at how well these fit, because Free People usually runs a little on the larger side in my opinion…more oversized, loose fitting. They have another paperbag pants option, which is more on the loose side. These are a bit more fitted. Hope that helps a bit. 🙂

  2. I noticed on postmark all of these pants are sized numerically. Would you happen to know what numerical size these are?? Free people sizes always throw me off with how much they vary!! One girl gave me the waist measurements of her size 0 pants like these, and the waist is 13.5 laying flat. Which is usually what I wear, a 26/27. But I was so shocked it was a size 0 that has this measurement!!! 😂😮

      1. Of course – happy to help! I usually wear a 24 in Free People jeans, and most of their trouser style pants don’t fit me, so I think that’s why the XS fit. They definitely run on the smaller size. However, I remember at the time I purchased these, they also had a super similar style (different fabric) and I tried those on as well and they were a bit bigger/truer to size. Hope that helps a bit! 🙂
