A Neutral Fabric Sofa

After throwing around a few ideas for the living room and lusting over some of these pretty neutral living rooms, we think we’re going to take the plunge with a neutral fabric sofa. We are still holding on to our brown leather one from West Elm (I love that baby too much to sell it), and are thinking of using it in a studio space. For now we just want to mix things up (for us), with a black, gray, and white color palette. When we look at our current leather sofa, all we see is boho, which is pretty silly because it can totally be styled multiple ways, but we’re thinking we need a fresh start in this house. Clean and simple. Here’s a round up of a few favorites we’ve found:

1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8

Which one is your favorite?

    1. Thanks so much! #8 looks so similar to the first couch we ever bought together, so I’m trying to do something different, but it’s definitely a favorite. 🙂

  1. My favorite is number 3 (because my sofa is quite similar, but it’s an Ikea sectional) 🙂
I’m sure your living room is going to be amazing!

    1. #7 is one we keep going back to! Love that color! Just little Henry and his backyard paws. Haha I try to clean them every time he comes in, but a light sofa makes me nervous. We’ll see! 😉

  2. I love #3 and #7 but I would also have the problem keeping #7 clean (darn muddy paws). This post really helped my husband and I out as we too are looking for a new sofa, and I just love all of the selections you found!

  3. I would choose No 7 definitely – 3 seater which is more versatile whether that entails guests visiting or afternoon naps, or lying down to watch a movie. It also seems more comfortable from a daily living perspective… you don’t want something too formal or ‘sweet sitting room’ in style for a comfy lounge area. I also love the colour as this too is versatile and errs on the warmer side (in keeping with your new home) as opposed to a cooler grey….

  4. I love #3 and #6. Both would look great in your space . Can’t wait to see what you do with your home. I’m sure it will be beautiful, it already is! ?

  5. I have a sofa pretty similar to #8. We’re also in love with black, brown, gray, and white colors for the living room, with a little mustard thrown in, in the form of throw pillows, for a pop of color. I absolutely adore your leather sofa, which is what we wanted, but the fabric couch was a more reasonable option for us. While it’s taken us a while to get our fabric sofa from a stiff sofa to a comfortable one to relax on, I love the look it provides our living space. And I think you two will love that look as well! Its fit so well with the rest of your ideas. Can’t wait to see your whole house once you’re done! 🙂

  6. I was just curious – where did you get your ottoman from?? I’ve been searching for one like it and can’t find it anywhere!
