We headed up north early Friday afternoon to meet our Airbnb host and check in early to our downtown loft which quickly became our home away from home for the weekend.  This was our first time using Airbnb and couldn’t have been more pleased with our experience.  Our host was absolutely amazing and greeted us with chilled wine and even Easter baskets set up in each room.  It was really sweet and super thoughtful and the set the tone for a perfect weekend.

On our last little getaway (to San Diego) we left our camera in the hotel room almost the whole trip.  We were a little better this time, pulling out our cameras to capture some special moments.  We were pretty happy our new camera bag from ONA arrived just in time for this trip.  It’s such a beauty and has so many compartments.  Can’t wait to see how the patina will age over time and develop character. We filled it up with all the essentials and even remembered to bring our polaroid camera this time, which is always fun.

Although we’ve been to Flagstaff a few times already, this experience was entirely different.  It was the first trip which actually felt like a real vacation in a while.  The four of us explored Buffalo Park and checked out the little shops and restaurants downtown.  We cooked meals together and played games till the early hours of the morning.  The weather was chilly, but perfect.  On our last night we bundled up and gathered around a fire in the yard and roasted marshmallows.  The weekend couldn’t have been any better. It was so nice to have some down time with friends who really feel like family.  The days flew by and we were a little sad to come home, but that just means we need to start planning the next trip!

    1. Completely agree ONA bags are the best! 🙂 You two will need to come and visit AZ soon. It’s already starting to heat up here, so maybe wait for the summer to pass and then come in the Fall. The heat isn’t too bad and having no humidity definitely helps!

  1. I’ve wanted to get an ONA bag for the longest time but have been slow to get it since it’s so pricey. I’m slowly but surely saving up for one, though 🙂 And I can see why you keep returning to Flagstaff- it looks so homey and gorgeous! And two hours away doesn’t hurt either. I recently just road tripped to New Orleans and it’s a whopping 14 hours from Chicago. I may or may not have regretted my adventurous nature around hour 10, haha. Love your photos as usual- I can literally scroll through them all day!

    1. Aw, thanks so much! New Orleans and Chicago are on our list of places to visit. We can definitely see how 14 hours can get a little crazy though. Hahah. Hope you’re having a great week!
